Mirzapur goes theatrical; box office goes three ways
The Prime Video franchise opened in cinemas on September 4, but trade trackers cannot agree on what the first day earned.

Mirzapur has moved from Prime Video to cinemas, where even the opening-day arithmetic has developed its own plotline.
Amazon says Mirzapur: The Movie released nationwide on September 4 as the franchise’s first big-screen outing. The film is directed by Gurmmeet Singh, created by Puneet Krishna and produced by Excel Entertainment’s Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar. Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal and Divyenndu return as Kaleen Bhaiya, Guddu Pandit and Munna Tripathi. TrackTollywood lists the film in Hindi and Telugu, giving Telangana audiences a local-language reason to inspect the experiment.
The money, however, is less settled than the Tripathi family tree. TrackTollywood’s current estimate is ₹30.27 crore gross from India on day one, while Bollywood Hungama lists ₹24.47 crore. BoxOfficeIndia24 puts the gross at ₹14.10 crore. These are trade estimates, not an audited studio filing. The earlier ₹13.01 crore figure could not be verified from the sources checked. Hyderabad’s reported ₹62.75 lakh is also only a tracker estimate. The film has reached theatres; the box office is still holding a meeting.
