Mirzapur: The Movie opened in Hindi and Telugu cinemas on September 4.
Amazon MGM Studios and Excel Entertainment brought Mirzapur: The Movie to cinemas on September 4 in Hindi and Telugu. Directed by Gurmmeet Singh and written by Puneet Krishna, the film returns Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Divyenndu Sharma, Abhishek Banerjee and Rasika Dugal to the franchise’s theatrical experiment. Amazon calls it an expansion “beyond streaming”; the ticket counter has been asked to complete the sentence.
The Telugu release received a Hyderabad press event and promotion at Amazon India’s Hyderabad campus. The makers said the film was specially dubbed for Telugu audiences, while Pankaj Tripathi said Telugu viewers had embraced Kaleen Bhaiya. Those are promotional statements, not audience measurements. Cinema listings confirm Telugu-market availability, but the research does not establish statewide Telugu screen counts or Telangana-specific collections.
Trade trackers placed the opening at roughly ₹25 crore India net, with estimates varying. Sacnilk put the Telugu version at ₹0.25 crore on day one in one update and ₹0.15 crore in another. No audited collection statement was found. The film has made the journey from streaming to cinemas; whether Telugu audiences paid for the return trip is still waiting for a proper ledger.
