Mirzapur’s Telugu tally: ₹25 lakh and 24%
The streaming franchise’s theatrical experiment opened in Hindi and Telugu, but the available trade estimates put the Telugu contribution at a modest level.
Available Day 1 trade estimates put the Telugu version at ₹25 lakh, or 24% occupancy.
Mirzapur: The Movie opened in Hindi and Telugu on September 4, taking the streaming franchise to cinemas for the first time. The film is produced by Excel Entertainment and Amazon MGM Studios, with Gurmmeet Singh directing and Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal and Divyendu Sharma returning to the cast.
Sacnilk’s current Day 1 page estimates India net collections at ₹25.75 crore from 11,135 shows. It puts the Hindi version at ₹25.50 crore and the Telugu version at ₹0.25 crore — ₹25 lakh — from 174 tracked shows. Telugu occupancy was 24.05%. The cinema experiment arrived in two languages; the box-office arithmetic remained heavily Hindi.
These are trade estimates, not audited accounts. An earlier report citing Sacnilk put the India net at ₹24.75 crore and gross at ₹29.70 crore, while Sacnilk’s current page lists ₹30.90 crore gross. The reason for the revision is not explained. No official producer or distributor collection statement was found, and the available data does not establish a Telangana-only Telugu total.
