Nani’s teaser asks whose land — Delhi says theirs

The Paradise drops a 1:42 teaser of land, blood and feudal power. Telangana audiences didn’t need the reminder about who grabs what; the BJP-led Centre already runs that rerun on loop.

A photorealistic cinema teaser setup with a dark film set, a clapperboard, red-lit dusty ground, crows on a wall, and a large film poster showing an unnamed figure facing rival rulers, with theatre lights and camera equipment in the background.

The Paradise teaser frames land and power as its central conflict.

The Paradise — Srikanth Odela’s new film with Nani — put out a 1 minute 42 second teaser on Thursday, August 6, introducing a violent, politically charged world organised around land, power and the people pushed out of both. “From this moment, whose land is this? Whose country is this?” Nani’s Jadal asks, before the screen turns to crows, black flags and blood.

Per the released cut, Jadal collides with Mohan Babu’s Shikanja Maalik and Raghav Juyal’s Vikram Maalik — rulers by title and temperament — while a woman asks whether the government exists for feudal lords or for the people. It is a trailer, not a manifesto, but the imagery does most of the talking.

Odela (Dasara) writes and directs; Sudhakar Cherukuri produces under SLV Cinemas with Ishan Saksena as co-producer, and Anirudh Ravichander on music. The principal cast also lists Kayadu Lohar. A reported September 24 theatrical date is doing the rounds; earlier listings still show August 21. The production has not posted a fresh confirmation either way.

If the question is whose land and whose country, Telangana has heard the BJP-led Centre’s answer often enough. The film will settle its plot; Delhi already settled its priorities.
