A Telugu film poster board in Hyderabad shows a bright song still and the words “VERY SOON” above a blank release-date calendar, while a small film reel waits beside it.

The song has arrived; the release date remains unannounced.

Nargis Fakhri has entered Tollywood with a special appearance in Nenu Ready, via the new single Konchem Konchem. The song video features Havish, Kavya Thapar and Fakhri, with music by Mickey J Meyer, lyrics by Ramajogayya Sastry and vocals by Sameera Bharadwaj, as reported from the Hyderabad launch.

Director Nakkina Trinadha Rao said the team has screened the film to distributors and “they have responded positively”, and that the release date will be announced “very soon.” Those are his words; no distributor or deal was named, and no date was given. The film, produced by Koneru Satyanarayana and Nikhila Koneru under Harniks India, stars Havish and Kavya Thapar, with Brahmanandam and Vennela Kishore in support. The story pitches a Telangana girl and an Andhra boy who get engaged — a familiar culture clash, hopefully without the clichés.

Trade databases list different dates because trade databases do that. The filmmaker’s last on-record position is still “soon”. We’ll take the song; the calendar can show up when it’s ready.
