Prabhas release panic, dates still standing
Trade speculation has pushed both films into the postponement rumour mill. The official dates, for now, remain where the makers left them.
The announced dates for Fauzi and Spirit remain December 2026 and March 2027, respectively.
Prabhas’ two upcoming films have entered the familiar cinema ritual: release dates are announced, rumours arrive, and everyone pretends the calendar is optional.
Trade reports have suggested that Fauzi could move from its announced December 3, 2026 release to early summer 2027. But no postponement has been officially announced, and producer Y Ravi Shankar reportedly reaffirmed the December 3 date on August 27. The film’s makers had earlier announced the date through director Hanu Raghavapudi’s social-media post.
Spirit, meanwhile, was never a 2026 release. Its announced date is March 5, 2027. Reports have speculated about a move to the second half of 2027, but the makers have not confirmed a revised date. Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga has said 40% of the shoot is complete — not producer Pranay Reddy Vanga, as some versions of the claim suggested.
So, for now: one film is officially dated for December 2026, the other for March 2027. The rumours have moved faster than the release calendar.
