Ram Charan is reported to have undergone right-wrist surgery in Coimbatore and will begin rehabilitation before returning to sets.

Ram Charan underwent surgery on his right wrist at Ganga Hospital, Coimbatore on July 27, according to multiple reports that cite the hospital and members of the surgical team. India Today names Dr S. Rajasekaran as lead surgeon, with hand specialist Dr Alejandro Badia and Dr Praveen Bharadwaj also involved.

The injury was aggravated during Peddi’s shoot, reports say, echoing what Charan himself told a May event about a wrestling sequence and a cartilage issue. His parents Chiranjeevi and Surekha and wife Upasana Konidela were with him during treatment, per the coverage.

The same reports say the procedure was successful and that Charan will begin structured rehabilitation before returning to work. None of the material we could access included a public hospital bulletin or a direct statement from the actor detailing the diagnosis, timeline or discharge.

What matters for Telugu cinema now: there is no confirmed update on Peddi’s production or release plan tied to the surgery. Until someone puts a schedule on the record, it isn’t one.
