Ranabaali has moved its worldwide theatrical release from September 11 to October 16, 2026 — placing Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna’s film one day behind Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 in the Dussehra-season rush.
The film’s official social-media account announced the new date on August 27, saying: “The darkest chapter of our history opens this October.” Ranabaali is directed by Rahul Sankrityan and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, with T-Series associated with the project.
Sun Pictures has officially listed Jailer 2 for worldwide release on October 15. So the holiday corridor now has a Telugu film arriving just after a Rajinikanth sequel, because apparently calendars are also action sequences.
Reports linked the postponement to Rashmika Mandanna’s reported on-set hip injury and a possible six-week rest period. Her team had not publicly confirmed the injury in the cited report, and the makers have not publicly said it caused the date change. The production has also not established whether October 16 is final, or disclosed screen counts, languages or certification status.
