Ranabaali picks Oct 16, not Dasara
Vijay Deverakonda–Rashmika’s period-action drama plants its flag for October 16 — squarely in the holiday window, not on the holiday. The makers, not Delhi, set this calendar.
Ranabaali is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on October 16, 2026.
Vijay Deverakonda’s Ranabaali has a date: the film’s official account and Mythri Movie Makers announced a worldwide theatrical release on October 16, 2026. Deverakonda echoed it: “This OCT 16. Worldwide in Cinemas near you.” According to the makers’ posts, it is a five-language rollout led from Telugu, with Rashmika Mandanna starring and Rahul Sankrityan directing.
October 16 sits in the Dasara window, not on the festival day itself. India Post’s 2026 holiday list puts Dussehra on October 20; the team is aiming for the long weekend, not the Tuesday. That is the piece that matters to theatres here.
The film earlier carried a September 11 date in its own promotions; the shift is now on the record from the official handles. Beyond the tagline — “the darkest chapter of our history opens this October” — the announcement does not add a synopsis, runtime or certification. Ajay–Atul are named on the film’s materials; T-Series is attached alongside Mythri.
Trade chatter about clashes can wait for other makers to put their dates where their posters are. For now, Ranabaali is booked; the rest can stop looking to Delhi calendars for courage and just announce theirs.
