A Hyderabad cinema lobby has a wall crowded with generic Telugu film posters and September date cards, while a nearby scheduling board has mostly blank slots beside cinema paperwork.

A crowded Telugu release calendar, with screen allocations still unreported.

Analysis | Entertainment

September’s Telugu release calendar has at least 11 listed titles, with The Paradise scheduled for September 24. The lineup includes Romanchakam on September 3, Sardar 2 and Maremma on September 10, Epic – First Semester on September 11, and Anumana Pakshi on September 18. Release dates are listed by cinema and release-calendar sources; Sardar 2 also has a date announcement attributed to director P.S. Mithran. [Citations]

That is a busy month. It is not, yet, proof of a screen war. No public source in the research gives confirmed screen allocations, show counts, distributor commitments, advance-booking data or an independent trade forecast. So The Paradise may face competition for screens and attention, but “trade pressure” remains an interpretation, not a measured fact. The usual declarations about buzz and promise have arrived; the numbers have not. September’s Telugu cinema will therefore have to compete first with the calendar—and then with the paperwork still missing from it.
