Sundeep’s Karikaala gets a two-part plan

Sundeep Kishan’s next with Shambhala director Ugandhar Muni now has a title: Karikaala. The makers unveiled a first look and said the film is a Telugu–Tamil–Hindi “socio-fantasy” planned in two parts, with Part One aimed at 2 July 2027 and Part Two at 28 October 2027, per an announcement reported this week. Music is by Sricharan Pakala. (According to the August 5 report, the rest of the cast and key crew are still under wraps.)
Back in March, the same project was announced as Sundeep’s 33rd film under Shining Pictures (producers Mahidhar Reddy and Rajashekhar Annabhimoju), billed as a fantasy adventure with the tagline “Some wars never end. Some kings never die,” and planned to go on floors in August 2026. Those were maker-side claims then, and the new title and 2027 targets are maker-side claims now — no budget, distributor or shoot status has been put on the record.
Telangana audiences don’t need Delhi’s blessing to mount an epic; they need the crew list, a clapboard, and dates that survive contact with production. We’ll take the first-look art; the BJP’s culture wars can sit this one out, and the Congress–TDP guessing games about “pan-India” won’t book a single theatre. The receipts will.
