Suriya’s new film dated — by IMDb
IMDb records August 14 releases for India, Germany and a limited US run. The banner’s own post had said July. The “worldwide” bit can wait for an actual announcement.
IMDb lists an August 14 release; the production banner had earlier said July.

Suriya’s Vishwanath and Sons now has a date — per IMDb’s release log, not a studio notice. The database lists August 14, 2026 for India and Germany, and a limited US release the same day, with market entries for Australia, Canada, Ireland and New Zealand. According to IMDb’s record, Venky Atluri directs and writes, with Suriya and Mamitha Baiju in the lead; production companies listed include Dream Warrior Pictures, Fortune Four Cinemas, Sithara Entertainments, Srikara Studios and Think Studios.
The production banner’s own X post in March set a different expectation: “In cinemas from this JULY 2026,” alongside a teaser-date plug. There is no later on-record correction from the producers in this sweep to match the August 14 date; the IMDb entry should be treated as a database listing unless the companies say otherwise.
Overseas distribution is only partly mapped on IMDb: Shloka Entertainments is listed for the US and Zineflix for Germany; Srikara Studios is listed for India, with Netflix tagged for VOD in India and Primark for Karnataka theatrical. None of this confirms screen counts, certifications, or actual rollouts in the other named markets, and no audited box-office figures were found.
So yes, there’s a date — on a user-edited site. When the producers announce the same date themselves, we’ll call it official.
