Suriya’s Vishwanath And Sons lands today
The Venky Atluri film was pushed from a July window to a worldwide theatrical release on August 14, confirmed by the makers and Suriya. Telugu rollout scale isn’t disclosed yet — the numbers will do the talking, not the hype.
Vishwanath And Sons opens worldwide on August 14, with Telugu rollout details still to be announced.
Suriya’s Vishwanath And Sons hits cinemas worldwide today, August 14, 2026 — the date the makers announced on May 28. Sithara Entertainments called it “arriving to conquer cinemas worldwide on AUGUST 14th, 2026”, and Suriya followed with “see u all soon! … from 14th August.” That’s the record; any box-office chest-thumping can wait for, well, the box office.
The film — written and directed by Venky Atluri and produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi (Sithara Entertainments) and Sai Soujanya (Fortune Four Cinemas), presented by Srikara Studios — moved from an earlier July window to today’s date, as reported by multiple outlets. The production’s own post did not say why. Which is fine; audiences don’t buy reasons, they buy tickets.
Cast and crew: Suriya leads as Sanjay Vishwanath; Mamitha Baiju, Radikaa Sarathkumar and Raveena Tandon co-star. G. V. Prakash scores, Nimish Ravi handles cinematography, Navin Nooli edits, and Banglan is on production design. DT reporting says Think Studios is distributing in Tamil Nadu; distributors for Telugu states were not named in the material reviewed.
For Telangana audiences: the makers positioned a worldwide theatrical release, but have not published a territory-by-territory rollout, screen count, Telugu title variant, or advance-booking data. When those figures land, they’ll speak louder than any “pan-” slogan Congress- or BJP-friendly trade chatter throws around. Today the film just has to open; the spin can queue up behind the showtimes.
