The Paradise has four box-office totals, none audited
Public estimates range from ₹159.50 crore to ₹173.85 crore worldwide, while the budget and break-even point remain unsettled.
The film’s reported worldwide gross remains a range.
The Paradise finished its theatrical run with one small problem: nobody appears to have agreed what it earned. Public trade and tracking estimates put the film’s worldwide gross anywhere between ₹159.50 crore and ₹173.85 crore. The numbers are not audited accounts. They are estimates, wearing the confidence of accounts.
One tracker lists ₹173.37 crore through Day 29, with ₹120.99 crore as India net. Another published estimate puts the worldwide total at ₹173.41 crore. A separate closing calculation gives ₹173.85 crore, including ₹121.03 crore India net and ₹31.05 crore overseas. Yet another trade estimate places the film below ₹160 crore. The gap is ₹14.35 crore — not loose change, even in an industry where every second film is introduced as a landmark.
The cost side is equally foggy. Public reports cite a budget of ₹150 crore, ₹200 crore, or somewhere between the two. Break-even estimates range from roughly ₹160 crore to ₹180–200 crore. No producer or distributor statement in the available record establishes the final cost, revenue share, or profit and loss. So the film cannot responsibly be declared a hit, flop or profitable venture from these figures alone. The trade’s verdicts are doing what the accounts have not.
The Telangana angle is clearer, though not because the arithmetic suddenly improves. One published territory estimate puts Nizam at ₹59.25 crore and Andhra at ₹33 crore, while the film’s Telangana identity and dialect sparked a public argument. Director Srikanth Odela said, “This is my world, and this is the world I can write from.” Claims of an organised campaign against the film remain unproven; even the reporting that discusses the hostility says there is no clear evidence of one.
The film may have a strong Telangana reading, but its commercial record is still a range. Until the people holding the receipts publish them, the box-office industry is not reporting accounts. It is circulating weather forecasts with crore signs.
