The Paradise has posters, not proof

The Paradise has eight days to reach theatres and a campaign busy enough to produce posters, songs, a Hyderabad press meet and a release-date reaffirmation. What it has not produced publicly is audited evidence of ticket demand.
The Nani-starrer, written and directed by Srikanth Odela and produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri under SLV Cinemas, is scheduled for September 24. The film’s official account reaffirmed the date on September 7, after speculation about a delay. The team also announced its second single at Anirudh Ravichander’s Dallas concert and continues to post promotional material.
Nani said there would be no trailer because the team did not have enough time to complete one to its desired standard. That is a documented explanation. “Strong response”, “chartbuster” and a North American distributor’s claim of $200,000 in pre-sales are not audited demand figures. No verified pre-sales, occupancy or collection data was found in the available record.
The film may do well. The posters cannot do that accounting on its behalf.
