Toxic opens in Telugu, US gets the memo

Cinemark listed Toxic (Telugu with English Subtitles) from August 26 across multiple US locations. A worldwide date the makers promised actually showed up on screens — minus the usual chest-thumping collections theatre.

Cinemark’s official page lists “Toxic (Telugu with English Subtitles)” with a release date of August 26, 2026, runtime 3 hours 15 minutes, Not Rated, under Foreign. Theatre pages in Boardman, Ohio and other cities showed real showtimes — Boardman had a 6 p.m. standard-format screening on August 26 — described as “Telugu Spoken with English Subtitles.” In Cinemark’s catalogue, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi versions sit as separate entries, treated as distinct bookings rather than a generic catch-all.

The date matches what the makers had put out as a “worldwide theatrical release” on Wednesday, 26 August 2026. KVN Productions lists “TOXIC: A FAIRY TALE FOR GROWN-UPS” among its projects, and the official Telugu teaser credits Rocking Star Yash and director Geetu Mohandas alongside KVN and Monster Mind Creations.

What this confirms for the diaspora is simple: Telugu screenings existed at multiple US Cinemark locations from August 26. What it doesn’t: any US screen count, advance sales, or collections. No distributor name is listed on Cinemark, and a chain listing doesn’t tell you how many tickets sold or whether every planned show ran. The film got Telugu-on-screen access; the rest of the puffed-up numbers can keep arguing on social media.
