Yash’s Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups formally opens worldwide on August 26, 2026 — the date Yash announced himself. US premieres and advance shows began a day earlier on August 25 in several locations. According to India Today’s reproduction of Yash’s post: “In Cinemas Worldwide from 26-08-2026.”
Trade coverage is already counting the overseas money. One report pegs “US premiere pre-sales” at $420,000, with 20,000 tickets across 942 shows at 388 locations, and adds a separate $470,000 for North America. The same piece ranks Toxic behind KGF 2 and ahead of Kantara in US premiere pre-sales for Kannada films. None of those tallies names a ticketing database, exhibitor or audit — they are trade claims, not verified accounts.
Another pre-release report, citing Venky Box Office, put overseas advance bookings at $292,541 across 362 locations and 873 shows, with 13,000-plus tickets. Again: advance bookings, not an audited gross, and not a primary statement from the distributor.
On distribution, The Hollywood Reporter India said Phars Film acquired international rights to the Indian-language versions for an advance of ₹105 crore, attributing the figure to sources close to the deal and quoting KVN Productions’ Venkat K. Narayana on picking a globally strong partner. No public contract or on-record Phars confirmation appears in the material reviewed.
For Telugu audiences abroad — especially AP–Telangana diaspora — the Telugu version is part of the multilingual rollout alongside Kannada, Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam. Sri Venkateswara Creations is reported to be distributing in the AP–Telangana market; Phars Film is named for overseas Indian-language distribution.
