Yash’s Toxic sets Aug 26 date
Six languages, two overseas tracks, and a Telugu-rights holder you’ve heard of. Screens? Still a trade guess.
Toxic is scheduled for worldwide release on August 26, 2026.
Yash has put a date on it: “Honour Thy Father... #Toxic In Cinemas Worldwide from 26-08-2026,” the makers announced with a new poster. The film — Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups — is directed by Geethu Mohandas and stars Yash alongside Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Rukmini Vasanth, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, Akshay Oberoi and Sudev Nair.
This one is aiming wide: Kannada is the original language, with releases planned in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and English. An earlier published description said it was shot in Kannada and English, with dubbed versions covering the other Indian languages. Advance bookings are slated to open on August 21, according to a trade report that said the makers confirmed the date.
Distribution is a patchwork by territory. A trade listing says KVN Productions handles Karnataka; Panorama Films, Kerala; Sri Venkateswara Creations holds Andhra Pradesh and Telangana; AA Films, North India and Nepal; a Tamil Nadu slate split across Think Studios, S Picture, White Nights through Trident Arts and Five Star Senthil. Overseas, Phars Film is reported to manage the Indian‑language versions, with a separate international arrangement for the English version via Lionsgate — both reported, not announced directly by the companies. Cinema Express also reported planning for “about 12,000 screens worldwide”, and in the same breath noted the final count isn’t officially announced.
For Telugu viewers at home and abroad, the SVC listing matters; the diaspora will care how Phars and the English‑version track carve up shows country by country. None of that breakdown is public yet — which, unlike Delhi’s election slogans, will be checked by a ticketing page in five days.
