At dawn outside a Hyderabad police station, a large police operation stands ready while a tiny snail carries an envelope marked FIR along a winding path, with loose papers covered in question marks nearby.

Reports differ over the case linked to the early-morning arrest; the FIR and police account were not available for verification.

BRS social-media convenor Manne Krishank was taken into custody from his Hyderabad residence at about 5 a.m. on September 18, according to multiple reports. They describe a large police contingent and say a gate, grill or door was forced open after he did not come out. The police version of the entry has not been published.

The case was reportedly registered at Nampally police station on September 17. Three reports link it to Krishank’s post alleging that masked men entered Saifabad police station during an incident involving K. T. Rama Rao’s staff. One report instead links it to a September 7 BRS protest near the Assembly. The original post and FIR were not available for verification, so the protest link is not established.

A report said Nampally court rejected the police remand request on September 18, citing Supreme Court guidelines. The written order was not available. KTR called the arrest an attack on the Opposition and said Telangana Police broke open Krishank’s doors. The Congress government has not publicly answered the allegations, while its police have not explained why a 5 a.m. operation was required. The available record has a dramatic arrest, competing accounts and no police explanation. The paperwork, apparently, is still taking the scenic route.
