7,437 police jobs. Dates when the Board says

Telangana is opening up 7,437 uniformed jobs — on paper, for now. The Telangana Police Recruitment Board’s live site lists 7,437 total vacancies under “Police Recruitment — 2026”, split across four notifications dated July 29, 2026. That includes 7,112 SCT Police Constable and equivalent posts, 275 SCT Sub Inspector and equivalent, 27 Police Constable Mechanic/Driver, and 23 ASI (Finger Print Bureau), per the Board’s pages and the constable notification.

Applications will be online only through tgprb.in, according to the official notification issued from the DGP Office Complex, Hyderabad. The document also says the exact dates for submitting forms “will be intimated in due course through a Press Release”. In other words: the jobs are confirmed; the calendar isn’t. A Telugu daily reported an August 19 opening (8am) to September 9 close (5pm) citing the Board’s chairman, but that schedule is not present in the Board’s accessible notification or site text.

Post-wise, the constable notification alone accounts for 3,697 PC (Civil), 1,052 PC (AR), 24 PC (SAR CPL, men), 1,380 SPF Constable, 751 Fire Fighter, 196 Warder (male) and 12 Warder (female) — totalling 7,112. The Board’s site lists SI Civil (148), Reserve SI AR (14), SAR CPL (3), TGSP (12), SPF SI (44), Station Fire Officer (39), Deputy Jailor male (14) and female (1), plus PC Mechanic (7), PC Driver (20) and ASI FPB (23).

Fee structure, common physical tests and other process details appear in the notifications; the vacancy count is marked “tentative” and can change without notice. The Board has not posted the application window in the accessible PDFs yet. Telangana’s unemployed will take the jobs; the BJP and Congress can keep the slogans.
