TSLPRB drops four notifications for police and allied services: 7,437 posts across Police, Special Protection Force, Fire and Prisons. Dates later; documents ready now.

Telangana’s police recruiter has opened a big window: 7,437 total vacancies across four notifications dated July 29, 2026, spanning the Police Department, Telangana State Special Protection Force, Fire, Disaster Response, Emergency and Civil Defence, and Prisons and Correctional Services. The board’s homepage says it plainly: “7,437 Total vacancies notified.”
This is not just constables and SIs. The breakup includes 3,697 SCT Police Constables (Civil), 1,052 Armed Reserve constables, 1,380 Special Protection Force constables, 751 Fire Fighters, 208 Warders, 39 Station Fire Officers, 15 Deputy Jailors, plus 275 SCT SIs (Civil and equivalents) and 23 ASIs in the Fingerprint Bureau. Mechanic and Driver constable posts are in there too. The recruitment stages listed are Preliminary Written Test, PMT/PET and Final Written Examination.
Exact application dates are not out. The SI notification says they will be “intimated in due course through a Press Release.” Applications will be online only, and candidates are told to keep documents ready: Telangana SC community certificate with sub-classification, EWS and BC non‑creamy‑layer certificates issued on or after April 1, 2026, and local-candidature proofs such as school bonafides or residence. The notifications also note the vacancy numbers are tentative and may change without notice.
For a state that actually hires instead of waving slogans, this matters. The BJP-led Centre loves an inauguration photo; the Congress elsewhere prefers a committee. Telangana’s board posted the number and the posts — now it needs to post the dates. The longer the wait, the more it looks like those other parties’ homework habits.
