Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy reportedly cited an X account presented as belonging to a BRS official during the Telangana Assembly’s fight over the Erravelli protest and the reported “purification” of a road used by Congress activists. The account was named “Sandhya Rao”, with the handle @SandhyaRaoBRS. [Indian Express; Telangana Today]
Telangana Today reported that the account was later deactivated. BRS spokesperson Manne Krishank called it fake and alleged that the Congress IT cell created it. That is an allegation, not an established finding: no archive, platform record, official BRS office-bearer list or technical evidence has been produced in the material available. Revanth Reddy’s office has also not publicly explained how the account was verified before it was cited in the House.
The broader Erravelli dispute is documented. The account behind the Assembly attack is not. The Congress government has yet to answer the basic question: who was Sandhya Rao, and who checked the handle before using it as evidence?
