Blackbaud doubles down in HITEC

Two Hyderabad leases on record, AI and product teams growing. The rest of the big claims need a source — preferably not a speech retold twice.

A giant office lease document stretches across two Hyderabad office towers, while a smaller speech bubble marked “claims” floats above an empty row of desks; HITEC City buildings and a metro viaduct appear in the background.

Two Hyderabad leases are on record; the larger expansion claims still need a paper trail.

Blackbaud has expanded in Hyderabad — that part is on paper. The company’s own 2024 Impact Report records a Hyderabad launch in October 2024. A year later, on November 14, 2025, Blackbaud announced a new office in HITEC City focused on AI integration, cloud‑native development and data modernisation, alongside product, design, engineering and operations.

Its 2025 annual filing adds the square footage: leases signed for 69,058 sq ft in June 2025 and 45,370 sq ft in January 2026 to support India operations. That is real capacity, not vibes.

A Telugu report now says a “second office” is coming for the Telangana nonprofit market, with 700 people today and 1,700 within 18 months, attributed to Blackbaud India MD Rajiv Gajria. None of those specifics — second site aimed at nonprofits, 700 now, 1,700 soon — appear in Blackbaud’s public material reviewed. The company’s stated Hyderabad focus is global product and engineering; the filings show two leases, not who will sit where.

Telangana wants the jobs and will take the labs too; what it won’t take is Delhi-style number theatre. If Blackbaud is opening a separate site, name the address and the hiring plan — Hyderabad has room for both.
