India turned a 405-run West Indies target into a routine afternoon in Guwahati, winning the second ODI by eight wickets on Wednesday, September 30.
Shubman Gill finished unbeaten on 223 from 133 balls, while Rohit Sharma made 101 from 75. The opening pair added 255 runs before India reached 406/2 in 43.3 overs — 39 balls still sitting unused. West Indies had supplied three centuries of their own, from John Campbell, Shai Hope and Amir Jangoo, but the scoreboard had other plans.
The result gave India a 2–0 lead in the three-match series.
