Telugu-English film Impure has won the Audience Award for Best Feature at the 2026 Indiewood Film Festival, according to the festival’s awards page. The award is documented. The paperwork around the film’s credits is less settled.
The festival programme lists “Varahi Matcha” as director and gives the film a running time of 1:39. Cinema Village lists Nishanti Evani as director, while the Film Bazaar catalogue also names Evani and describes the film as a 100-minute English-Telugu fiction set in Vizag. Cinema Village lists Varahi Mallipamula in the cast and credits her with the story.
The film’s Los Angeles world premiere was advertised at TCL Chinese Theatre, with a screening and Q&A, and Cinema Village lists a New York premiere on September 26. Neither listing establishes a commercial distribution deal. An October 2 theatrical release has also not been confirmed by the sources reviewed.
