Irumudi’s $1.29 million North America question

Venky Box Office reported the figure through trade coverage, but Box Office Mojo displays a sharply different international total. The numbers have not met each other yet.

Two oversized box-office ledgers on opposite sides of a desk show different international totals, separated by a gap and a barrier marked verification, amid calculators, ticket stubs and empty filing drawers.

The reported North America total remains ahead of the available international breakdown.

Telugu film Irumudi, starring Ravi Teja and Priya Bhavani Shankar, has opened a sizeable North America conversation — and a small box-office accounting problem. Venky Box Office reported a $141,000 Tuesday gross, taking the film’s North America total to $1.29 million. Sacnilk published that figure on August 27, attributing it to the tracker’s data. The film, directed by Shiva Nirvana and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, released on August 21, according to the production house’s announcement and Fandango’s listing. TeluguCinema.com later reported a claimed ₹122 crore worldwide first-week total, including roughly ₹16 crore overseas. ([source])

But Box Office Mojo’s displayed figures show $1.334 million worldwide and $297,365 internationally, with no visible North America breakdown. That does not independently confirm the $1.29 million claim. The missing pieces include the US-Canada split, screen count, previews, ticket sales and whether the figure is gross or distributor share. For now, North America’s biggest number is still a trade-tracker claim. The spreadsheet remains in pre-release negotiations.
