Ramayana drops Rahman song; November is the date
“Jai Jai Ram” brings Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi together as Rama and Sita. The official release schedule, meanwhile, has moved past the convenient shorthand of “October 2026.”
The first song from Ramayana, 'Jai Jai Ram', has been released ahead of Part One's November 6, 2026 release.
The makers of Ramayana have released “Jai Jai Ram”, the film’s first song, with A.R. Rahman credited as composer and Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal as singers, according to a report published on September 14. The official song upload also lists the principal music credits. (TeluguCinema)
The song’s visual presentation features Ranbir Kapoor as Rama and Sai Pallavi as Sita. The official project website confirms both cast roles. Sai Pallavi gives the production its clearest Telugu-cinema connection; claims of broader industry influence would require rather more than one casting decision.
The two-part film is directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra, with Yash playing Ravana, according to the project’s official material. Part One is scheduled for November 6, 2026, while Part Two is listed for October 28, 2027. “October 2026” was a loose description. The calendar has been more specific. (Ramayana official website)
