Vishwambhara has a date. The OTT deal doesn’t
The Chiranjeevi fantasy film was reported to have locked October 16, 2026, but its digital plans remain unconfirmed.
Vishwambhara is listed for theatrical release on October 16, 2026; its streaming plans remain unconfirmed.
Vishwambhara appears to have solved at least one part of its release puzzle: the makers were reported to have announced October 16, 2026, for the film’s theatrical release. BookMyShow also lists the Chiranjeevi-starrer as releasing on that date. The primary producer announcement was not located, so “confirmed” remains a word best handled with care — especially in film trade reporting, where dates have a habit of needing dates of their own.
The film, directed by Mallidi Vassishta and produced by UV Creations, has previously faced delays linked to VFX work. A UV Creations representative said in February that the effects were being reworked after criticism of the first teaser. A September 12 report claimed Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and ZEE5 had not finalised digital-rights pricing without theatrical clarity, and that the producers had approached Chiranjeevi to help resolve the release plan. That account remains uncorroborated: no platform statement, contract or producer confirmation was located.
UV Creations’ August 22 update mentioned a poster and OST, but no OTT partner or revised release plan. For now, October 16 is the listed theatrical date. The streaming deal is still waiting for its own announcement.
