Hyderabad’s minimum autorickshaw fare may rise from ₹20 to ₹30, but for now that ₹30 exists in a report, not in a government notification. A report published on September 5 says the Auto Fare Revision Committee submitted its recommendations to the Telangana government on September 3. It proposed ₹14 for every additional kilometre, against the reported existing ₹11 rate, along with a 75-paise-per-minute waiting charge. (Siasat)
The same report says the government has yet to take a final decision. The wider fare-review process is corroborated by reports on auto unions calling off an indefinite strike after talks with Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar. That distinction matters to passengers. The committee report, its members and the proposed fare formula are not publicly available in the material reviewed. Nor is there confirmation that meters have been recalibrated or enforcement has begun.
