Hyderabad scheduled a July 31–Aug 1 auction of vacant 2BHK-colony shops with upset prices as low as ₹2,700/sq ft. A week later, the notices are up, the results aren’t.

Hyderabad district said it would auction 87 vacant commercial shops in 2BHK housing colonies on July 31 and August 1. That is on the district’s own notice, dated July 17, 2026, with venues fixed — Hari Hara Kala Bhavan in Secunderabad and Babu Jagjivan Ram Bhavan in Banjara Hills — and earnest money set at ₹30,000 a shop. The upset price range: ₹2,700–₹4,800 per sq ft. According to the notification, 45 shops were to go under the hammer in the Secunderabad division on July 31, and 42 in the Hyderabad division on August 1.
As of August 7, the public record shows the proposal and the dates — and no shop-wise result sheet. There is no posted list of successful bidders, closing bids, unsold lots or revenue realised. The same page still carries the notification, not an outcome. That absence does not prove no auction happened; it does say the administration hasn’t put the result in the public domain where it published the auction.
Hyderabad’s April 5 notice floated a separate auction plan for 77 shops with higher upset prices in some locations — ₹5,000–₹20,000 per sq ft — and that page, too, shows no outcomes. The paperwork exists when it is time to invite bids; the transparency goes missing when it is time to show what Telangana realised. The BJP-led Centre is fond of lecturing states on “good governance”; the minimum version is posting a result after an auction. Telangana did its part building the colonies; the least the file can do now is complete the line item.
