A Song for Eresha reaches India, press release permitting
AK Srikanth’s English-language feature is announced for Apple TV India on September 18, after an overseas digital release. The larger performance claims remain claims.
The film’s India release has been announced for September 18.
Telangana-linked filmmaker AK Srikanth’s English-language feature A Song for Eresha is scheduled to release in India on Apple TV on September 18, according to a NewsVoir/ANI announcement. The film is written and directed by Srikanth, stars Bharatanatyam dancer Savitha Sastry as Eresha, and runs for about 125 minutes, according to the production company and Apple TV’s US listing.
The film had an overseas-first digital release. Freestyle Digital Media announced its North American release on June 9, 2026, and Rotten Tomatoes lists that date for its streaming release. The India announcement says the film has reached more than 30 countries, completed 150 days in the UK and more than 100 days in the US. Those figures come from the same press-release package syndicated across several websites; no independent distribution or audience data confirms them.
The announcement says India took longer because the film was acquired by a US distributor and opened overseas first. It also calls the film “now available” in India while separately giving September 18 as the launch date. Apple TV’s accessible listing was for the US, not India. The platform has therefore announced an India release; whether the app has received the memo is still unclear.
