Bheemgal’s Aug 15 test: show us the works
Prashanth Reddy set Independence Day as the finish line for four Bheemgal projects. The Congress government had a month. The paper trail showing delivery did not turn up.
The four Bheemgal works had a deadline; the public record had no finish-line paperwork.
Former minister and Balkonda MLA Vemula Prashanth Reddy gave the state a clear list and a date: finish four Bheemgal works by August 15 — a 100-bed government hospital, the Integrated Market Yard, the RTC bus depot and CC/BT roads. That deadline, and the list, are on the record from his July 15 hunger strike after police blocked his Bheemgal protest. According to those reports, he alleged the Congress government had stalled projects the BRS largely completed. Those are his allegations; the status needs documents, not slogans.
What exists on paper today: the government’s TVVP list shows “AH Bheemgal” with 100 beds under Nizamabad district. That confirms a 100-bed Area Hospital in the system. It does not confirm that the new hospital building Reddy pointed to was completed, handed over, staffed or opened by the deadline.
On the rest — market yard, RTC depot, and CC/BT roads — the official sites we checked don’t publish a completion note, inauguration, handover or operational order. The Bheemgal Municipality portal (last updated July 28) and the Nizamabad district page link the town and the office; neither tells residents whether these four works crossed the line.
So here’s the Independence Day scoreboard the BJP likes to speechify over and the Congress now runs: a public deadline set, a hospital capacity recorded in a state list, and no published completion record for the four specific Bheemgal works the MLA named. If the Congress government delivered, it can say where, when and with what order number — or keep ducking a Balkonda question it was handed in writing.
