BRS joining, minus the joining list
A report says people described as Congress and BJP leaders joined the BRS in Tummaluru. The BJP names remain missing, along with independent confirmation.
A reported joining programme in Tummaluru has not been accompanied by a formal list of entrants.
Namasthe Telangana reported that several people described as Congress and BJP leaders joined the BRS at a programme in Tummaluru, Maheshwaram mandal, on September 16, 2026, in the presence of Maheshwaram MLA P. Sabitha Indra Reddy. The report said party scarves were placed around the entrants.
It named 14 people, including a ward member, a former sarpanch, a former ward member and a former society director. It did not identify the BJP entrants. Sabitha Indra Reddy attributed the reported movement to disillusionment with the Congress and said the Congress government had forgotten its election promises. The BRS website lists her as the Maheshwaram MLA.
The report is the only available account of the event. No official BRS announcement, Congress or BJP response, statement from the named individuals, formal joining list or attendance figure was found. So the event is reported, not independently established. Even the phrase “large-scale joinings” is doing more work than the numbers currently can.
