Durgam Cheruvu auction meets the paperwork rock
The Telangana High Court has sought records on how five earlier plot numbers became two auction parcels near Durgam Cheruvu. The state says its 50-metre buffer remains intact.

The Telangana High Court has asked the state to produce the records behind a revised layout that turned plots 6, 7, 11, 12 and 13 at Raidurg into two auction parcels, P1 and P2. The parcels measure 5.25 acres and 5.38 acres in Survey No. 83/1, according to reports on the hearing. The matter returns on September 21.
Petitioner Juvvadi Pranay Simha Rao says the land is protected because of its rock formations and proximity to Durgam Cheruvu. The state says the relevant heritage rocks do not fall within the auctioned area, statutory requirements were met and the mandatory 50-metre buffer was maintained. The court has sought the revised-layout records; it has not been reported as staying the auction.
TGIIC issued the auction notification on August 1, and MSN Realty was reported as the successful bidder on August 21. The state told the court that 25% of the bid amount—reported as Rs 355 crore—had been paid. The court now wants to see how the map acquired its new vocabulary.
