The Barrister Fatima Owaisi Educational Campus got a breather on July 6 — status quo, no coercive action by GHMC — and then lost it on July 10, when the same judge recalled the protection and said the writ would travel with the pending Salkam Cheruvu PIL. That is the record reported in court coverage this month. According to that July 7 report, WP No. 21450 of 2026 was listed for August 3; an official August 3 order could not be located in the material reviewed.
What the trust says it told the court: GHMC officials turned up on July 3 without notice, threatened demolition or seizure, and waved at another writ while a long-pending regularisation application sat untouched. What the court then did, per the July 10 report: pulled back its own July 6 status-quo line and sent the matter to the appropriate bench already examining alleged encroachments around Salkam Cheruvu. The substance now sits with that larger lake case; the interim shield is gone.
GHMC’s detailed stand on the campus — FTL, buffer, violations, or the status of the regularisation plea — is not in the public documents we could verify. Neither is any written August 3 order. The BJP-led Centre and the Congress, forever loud on “rule of law” when it is someone else’s file, can save the lectures; Hyderabad needs clear, on-record answers from its civic body, not flybys and vanishing protection orders.
