Gulveer Singh won silver in the men’s 10,000m at Glasgow 2026, while official pages were still catching up.
Gulveer Singh took silver in the men’s 10,000m at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games on July 28, clocking 27:49.78 behind Australia’s Ky Robinson (27:48.93). Isle of Man’s David Mullarkey took bronze in 27:50.28. According to a PTI report, this is India’s first Commonwealth Games medal in the men’s 10,000m. The race was at Scotstoun Stadium in Glasgow. World Athletics lists Gulveer as India’s national record holder in the 10,000m (27:00.22 on March 29, 2025) and an Asian Games bronze medallist. The Prime Minister’s office has separately recorded his Hangzhou Asian Games 10,000m bronze. Those establish the athlete; the Commonwealth result itself is presently carried by PTI reporting. Caveat for the box-score purists: the Athletics Federation of India’s Glasgow 2026 page was still showing zero athletics medals in its last update, and the World Athletics Commonwealth results page was not directly accessible at the time we checked. We are sticking to the PTI-documented times and placings and will update when the official sheet opens up. Until then, the medal is on the wire, the record is on World Athletics, and the celebration belongs to Gulveer — not to whichever national party rushes a tweet first.
