Hyderabad files land, projects wait
District notices put Gandhi Sarovar and the SH-01 elevated corridor into formal acquisition procedure. They do not show construction, compensation or possession.
The notifications have moved to the next stage; construction details have not.
Hyderabad’s district administration has published preliminary land-acquisition notifications for the Gandhi Sarovar project and the proposed elevated corridor from Paradise Junction to the ORR junction at Shameerpet. The paperwork has moved; the bulldozers, compensation figures and completion dates have not.
The Gandhi Sarovar notice, published on August 13, 2026, names the Musi Riverfront Development Corporation Limited and covers Langer House and Quila Mohd Nagar in Golconda mandal. It states an extent of 0.30 acres/guntas notation, or 3,630 square yards. The district’s own mandal directory places both villages in Golconda mandal. [1]
A separate Form VI notice covers the SH-01 corridor through Bholakpur, Kakaguda, Tirumalagiri and Machabollaram. The district lists the notification period as August 24, 2026 to August 23, 2027. Form VII public-declaration notices have also been published for parts of the corridor, indicating a later statutory stage — not proof that construction has begun. [2]
The accessible notices do not establish the SH-01 land extent, affected properties, compensation, possession or construction status. The files currently prove procedure. The rest remains paperwork waiting for its next chapter.
