Hyderabad’s Karthik Agneya Kolli has reportedly won gold in the 6-km Cannonball Swimathon in Gurugram, completing the distance in 1 hour 52 minutes, according to a September 27 report. The 16-year-old swimmer was described in earlier coverage as representing Telangana and the Para Swimming Association of Telangana.
The result is not independently confirmed. No organiser results sheet, timing certificate, podium record or association announcement was located. The event itself is established: organiser listings identify TRI Coaching India and include a 6-km race distance. The 2026 registration page, however, says the event “is not published yet”. Even the event date is inconsistent across listings.
Karthik does have a documented earlier record. A December 2024 report records his gold in the boys’ 800m freestyle and silver in the 200m individual medley at the Sivus India Open Swimming Nationals in Chennai. For now, the Gurugram gold remains a reported result waiting for the paperwork to catch up.
