A published local report says Mamidala Nagamma, 55, identified as a municipal worker, died on Thursday while cleaning the Khammam–Bonakal road in the Jammibanda area of Khammam city. According to that report’s unnamed sources, she was struck in a hit-and-run and died at the scene; it also says municipal workers later protested, demanding arrests and support for her family.
As of publication, none of the primary authorities have put the basic facts on the record. The Khammam Police website lists a “View / Print FIR” service but does not show an FIR, press note or case details tied to Nagamma in accessible public pages. The Khammam Municipal Corporation’s site, likewise, carries no public statement on the incident, workplace safety measures for road-cleaning staff, or compensation for the family in the material available.
