Komuravelli gets its stop. Temple next
A new railway station on the Manoharabad–Siddipet line opened on July 26 to serve Komuravelli Mallanna devotees; regular DEMU halts are promised.

Komuravelli Punyakshetram railway station was inaugurated on July 26, 2026, near the Mallanna temple in Siddipet district. Union minister G. Kishan Reddy opened the station, with Union MoS Bandi Sanjay and South Central Railway’s general manager in attendance, among others. According to a government broadcast, regular Secunderabad–Siddipet DEMU services will halt here.
The station sits on the Manoharabad–Siddipet section of the Kothapalli–Manoharabad project and is intended to ease access for pilgrims. Reported construction cost is around Rs 6 crore; one account puts it at Rs 5.63 crore. Facilities include a high‑level platform with shelters and a waiting hall, per pre‑event briefings.
Reddy called the opening a milestone for devotees and regional development and said the station would be modernised further. He also suggested coordination with TSRTC for a shuttle bus to the temple. An exact timetable, finalised cost and the start date for regular halts have not been published by the railways yet.
