According to a PTI report, he posted 176kg in the snatch and 212kg in clean and jerk for 388kg; New Zealand’s David Andrew Liti hit 166kg and 223kg for 389kg. That’s your one-kilo gap.
The same report says Singh’s 176kg was a Commonwealth Games snatch record, with Liti’s 223kg a Games clean-and-jerk record.
