In Maddur, the bulldozers reportedly arrived before the paperwork. A report published on September 29 said road-widening work on the Maddur–Chintal Dinne route on September 28 left 60 families without homes and another 20 without homes and shops. Those figures are reported claims, not independently verified counts.
Residents alleged that officials gave no prior notice and demanded compensation before the demolitions. The report also said police were present and that some people who tried to stop the work were arrested. BRS leader and former Kodangal MLA Patnam Narender Reddy called for compensation before demolition: “Give compensation and then demolish the houses.” The report did not identify the responsible department, contractor, police station or any official who ordered the work.
This is not the first road-widening dispute reported in the Maddur area. Earlier reports described shop demolitions in Maddur in October 2025 and separate demolition disputes in Kothapally and Renivట్ల village. That establishes a pattern of disputes, not proof of the latest figures. The Congress government in Telangana has not publicly set out its version, the legal basis, notice record, compensation plan or rehabilitation offer. The bulldozers have a timetable. The paperwork is still missing.
