Metro–RTC pass ordered, launch date still missing

Hyderabad commuters have been promised one pass for Metro and TGSRTC buses, with daily and monthly options. Telangana Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju issued the direction at a September 6 coordination meeting at Begumpet Metro Rail Bhavan, according to an HMRL release.
HMRL and TGSRTC officials told Jaju that the technical arrangements had been finalised and the system was ready for implementation. Jaju also directed officials to finalise the fare structure quickly. The announcement is therefore an order to integrate services, not proof that commuters can already buy or use the pass. The paperwork has arrived before the ticket.
HMRL has not published the fare, launch date, purchase method, validity rules or the bus and Metro services covered. TGSRTC’s current commuter-pass page lists existing categories, including the MMTS–RTC combi ticket, but not a Metro–RTC joint pass. A reported 15-day timeline is attributed to unnamed sources and is not an official deadline. Telangana has ordered the pass; the commuter is still waiting for the part involving an actual pass.
