Musi project told: hands off, for now

The Telangana High Court has granted interim protection to four petitioners challenging land acquisition for the Musi Riverfront Development Project. Authorities have been told not to dispossess them from 9.22 acres in Survey Nos. 27, 28, 31 and 32 at Dargah Khaleej Khan village in Ranga Reddy district until the next hearing.
Justice K. Sarath also directed the respondents to file counter-affidavits within two weeks. The petitioners— I. Prabhakar Reddy, Atibhumi Holdings Private Limited, Sahasra Infra Private Limited and S.C. Mohan Reddy—are challenging G.O.Rt.No.921, dated December 16, 2025. The order, as reported, concerns an exemption under Section 10A of the 2013 land-acquisition law.
The court has not struck down the government order or stopped acquisition across the Musi project. The next hearing date is not available in the material reviewed. The State, Ranga Reddy authorities, land-acquisition officials and Musi Riverfront Development Corporation have not publicly answered the petitioners’ challenge in the material reviewed. For now, the project’s message to these landowners is simple: not today.
