NIMS DA case: five searches, two cash figures
The Telangana ACB says it continued searches in Hyderabad in a disproportionate-assets case against NIMS official Nori Lakshmi Bhasker. The paperwork, like the cash count, is still being sorted.
The ACB reported searches at five locations while cash figures and ownership details remained under verification.
The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau said it continued searches at five locations in and around Hyderabad on September 29 in a disproportionate-assets case against Nori Lakshmi Bhasker, identified in the report as a NIMS Additional Medical Superintendent and Additional Professor. The searches were conducted under warrants issued by the Principal Special Judge for SPE and ACB cases, Hyderabad. (Telangana Today)
The ACB said the locations included premises linked to NIMS employee Dhanraj and outsourcing employee D. Ganesh, whom it described as suspected benamis. That is an investigative allegation, not a court finding. Officials reportedly seized Rs 4,94,394 in cash from Dhanraj’s house and found documents relating to agricultural land in Maheshwaram, a Banjara Hills plot valued in the report at about Rs 2.70 crore, two investments worth Rs 20 lakh and a Rs 3 lakh hand-loan receipt. The agency said ownership and links to Bhasker were still being verified. (Telangana Today)
Earlier ACB-attributed reporting put the documented assets under examination at Rs 6.13 crore. Another supplied report gave the cash figure as Rs 7 lakh and said Bhasker had been arrested. The records available here do not settle either point. No public response from Bhasker, Dhanraj, Ganesh, NIMS or their lawyers was found. For now, the case has five reported locations, two reported cash figures and no primary seizure record in public view.
