Telangana’s Second Pay Revision Commission is due to complete its currently reported term on September 30, but no official submission of its report has been located as of September 29, 2026. The deadline is reported as the result of a six-month extension from March 31; the government order behind it was not found on the official Telangana portal.
The timeline has already accumulated dates like a department file. The government reportedly asked the commission, headed by retired IAS officer N. Shivashankar, to submit its report by September 18. A later report said it was working towards the end of September. The May 2 government release, meanwhile, said Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy had directed officials to submit the report “immediately” and that the government would decide on the PRC after receiving it.
A report citing unnamed Secretariat sources says another two-to-three-month extension may be considered, citing financial implications and pending service-rules review. That remains unconfirmed. No official order beyond September 30, no report, and no fitment or pay-scale recommendation has been published. Employees and pensioners are left with a deadline, a rumour and the familiar administrative luxury of waiting.
