A damaged stretch of Imlibun–Putlibowli Road near Gowliguda bus stand was repaired after a resident protested by sitting in a pothole, according to reports published on September 1 and 2. The protester was identified variously as Feroz, Feroze and Firoz; the spelling could not be independently standardised.
Telangana Today described the work as patchwork. Shopkeeper Bharath said heavy vehicles could damage the road again and demanded a cement-concrete road. The repair has not been matched by a publicly accessible GHMC work order, estimate, contractor detail, engineering specification or completion schedule. GHMC’s official X account also had no located post confirming this specific work.
A report attributed an unnamed GHMC official as saying the stretch had been patched three times and damaged by water stagnation. That claim was not corroborated by a primary civic record. For now, the road has received a repair; whether it has received a solution remains undocumented.
