Paradise flyover: the clock, extended
Hyderabad extends the shelf life of its prelim land notices for the Paradise Junction–Dairy Farm Road elevated corridor by 12 months. Paperwork moves; concrete does not.
The preliminary land-acquisition notifications for the Paradise Junction–Dairy Farm Road corridor have been extended by 12 months.
Hyderabad district has extended the validity of its preliminary land-acquisition notifications for the elevated corridor from Paradise Junction to Dairy Farm Road on NH‑44 by 12 months — from 24 November 2025 to 23 November 2026 — under Section 19(7) of the 2013 land acquisition law, via District Gazette Nos. 23 to 28 dated 25 October 2025, approved in Form‑VI. According to the district notice, the extensions cover Thokatta, Bowenpally and Seetharampur in Thirumalgherry Mandal, and Bholakpur in Secunderabad Mandal. The notifications were issued by the District Collector, through the Special Deputy Collector and the NH‑44 Land Acquisition Officer.
What this does: keeps the preliminary acquisition process legally alive. What it does not do: acquire land, pay compensation, pass awards, take possession, tender civil works or start construction. The district later recorded that declaration Gazettes 2 to 7 were approved and published in newspapers on 20 May 2026 — another paper step, still not a tender.
The executing agency, DPR, costs and schedule are not named in the documents inspected. Which is familiar: under the Congress-run year, Hyderabad got fresh validity on files while commuters got the same traffic at Paradise. The calendar moved; the flyover did not.
