The acquisition notification for the Paradise–Dairy Farm corridor has been extended to November 23, 2026.
Hyderabad’s district administration has extended the validity of land-acquisition notifications for the proposed elevated corridor from Paradise Junction to Dairy Farm Road on NH‑44 — covering Thokatta, Bowenpally, Seetharampur and Bholakpur — for 12 months, from November 24, 2025 to November 23, 2026, under Section 19(7) of the 2013 land law. The page records “Form‑VI approved and Published,” issued via Gazette Nos. 23–28 dated October 25, 2025.
What this does: keeps the acquisition legally alive. What it does not do: prove that possession has been taken, compensation paid, tenders awarded or that construction has begun on this specific stretch. The notice itself says none of that. It still describes the land as proposed for construction.
A state release last year mapped the corridor’s route via Tadbund and Bowenpally. Separate reporting over 2025–26 talked up “initial works” and “foundations”, and flagged defence‑land formalities as the hold‑up — reports, not primary progress records. Until HMDA or the district files the tender and possession trail, “work gathered pace” is PR, not a milestone.
Meanwhile, Hyderabad’s traffic keeps paying for every month lost to files moving slower than vehicles at Paradise junction. The BJP‑led Centre’s defence‑land gatekeeping has not exactly hurried things along; paperwork is the only thing that moved on time.
