Land-acquisition declarations have been published for the proposed Paradise–Shamirpet elevated corridor; construction has not begun.
Hyderabad district has issued formal land-acquisition declarations for the “Construction of Elevated Corridor from Paradise Junction to Shameerpet at ORR on Rajiv Rahadaari (SH‑01)”, naming Thokatta, Kakaguda, Tirumalagiri and Machabollaram. The record says “Requisition received – Public Declarations in Form VII approved & published”, with earlier Form VI notices also on file and their validity extended to 25 November 2026 under the 2013 Act. According to a district gazette dated 25 October 2025, 453.47 sq. yards in Thokatta are under acquisition for the project. Separate entries list Rehabilitation and Resettlement proceedings from 16 October 2025 through 25 November 2026.
What the files do not show: a work order, contractor, mobilization, compensation paid, total land required, or a construction date. This is the part where the BJP‑led Centre likes to claim everything is “fast‑tracked” and the Congress discovers a new review meeting. The paperwork is real; the pillars aren’t. Telangana has moved its side on the record. The national parties can spare us the ribbon until they fund and clear what they love to tweet about.
